What to do if French Visa was not used because of COVID19

As a Travel Agency we have a lot of clients who had applied for French Visa but wasn’t able to use it. We are all saddened by the unfortunate events and cancelled plans. However if clients has future plans in traveling to France again they can benefit on the following below:

Having an unused visa in your passport does not prejudice the holder and does not affect the duration of the authorized stay during a subsequent travel plan. It is therefore not necessary to request the cancellation of this visa.

When the issuance of visas has resumed, you will be able to benefit from a simplified procedure and be satisfied with presenting the following supporting documents:

- Request form indicating the new travel dates,
- Photo ID
- Travel document containing the visa issued but not used
- Proof of cancellation of the previous trip
- Proof of the planned new trip
- Proof of updated accommodation (hotel reservation or certificate of home)
- Updated travel medical insurance.

You will not be asked for other supporting documents (including resources). The visa will generally be granted for the same number of entries and for the same duration as the previous visa. Free visa fees will be granted.
